Very nice place, accommodation was great clean rooms great food.

We went to the Gasthof zur Post for dinner on October 11th. The day before we went to eat there in the afternoon. We liked the ambience so much, just right for the region. So we reserved a table there the following evening. When we got there at 7:30 p.m. the inn was full. The service was friendly and attentive. Can't fully understand the sometimes bad reviews regarding the service. For our part, we were very satisfied. The food and drink menu came promptly. After the meal there was also the dessert menu. We were in the mood for schnitzel and therefore ordered the classic Jägerschnitzel twice with fries and salad. It was a decent serving for a moderate price. The salad and sauce were delicious. The only small negative point, the mushrooms were out of the can. Therefore only 4 stars. Otherwise everything was fine and we would definitely come again. Greetings from the Westerwald

Nice very old but well kept building. Good location in the center of this small little town. Pleasant, homely atmosphere. Food good, large portions. The game is very tasty and fresh. Nice and quick service. You can spend the evening very pleasantly and eat well. Good beer. We are pleased

The Gasthof Krone-Post was the destination of the second stage of our ZweiTälerSteig hike. We were able to move into a nice, cozy room, even though it was a day of rest. Very warm and friendly staff. Super breakfast (including packed lunch).

We were here for an overnight stay while crossing the Black Forest with dogs. Unfortunately, the service in the guest room is quite unfriendly and inflexible, the rooms very clean, but showing their age. In the evening the guest room was packed, there was no trace of hygiene and distance rules! That should be better regulated at the moment!

Nice flair but really bad service. 1. No drinks menu was offered. Had to blindly order the drinks because the waitress didn't know what was on offer. 2. Waitress could not answer what the "mixed" includes. She was asked to ask in the kitchen. The answer after that was that things are mixed up. So rural. As an allergy sufferer, I can't do anything with it. 3. The Corona respirator is consistently worn under the chin, even directly at the table. 4. After paying, they didn't even want a nice day. Conclusion: Little competent or friendly service. Food wasn't bad. A sausage salad is not a high art either

It was a perfect match. Very friendly and courteous staff, clean and spacious rooms, very good breakfast buffet and delicious lunch at a fair price. Simply a feel-good atmosphere. we would love to come back.

A centrally located, home-style restaurant. The food was great, the service attentive and courteous. A good address in the Simonswald resort.

Food was slightly too salty and the portion (Rehmeddalions) was very small (for € 18 we would have expected more). As a side dish we had spaetzle, which were delicious. We didn't stay there.

Price quality considering a great hotel, but dated, but neat. Nice bbq on Monday evening in the bier garten, extensive breakfast. But food at night was unfortunately really not good.

Very beautiful surroundings, many sights, hikes, especially the demonstration of the Oelmühle is great, overall a wonderful place in the valley of the Black Forest

Eaten here. Good food though, solid German. You should not like frills and vegetarian is not really "im frage" but good plate of food.

Were only for food, but three times, and excellent. Ate in this house on the recommendation of our host family. Such a nice waitress, we haven't seen the "oldest" in a long time, food came quickly, price-performance ratio was great. The barbecue evening on Monday evening was great fun, but the existing pool should be opened for the children present during this time. Thank you for the great service and don't forget: always reserve a table in advance

I recommend this Hotel-restaurant. We were half board, but housed 300 meters in a building that also belongs to them. It was not a problem since we take our morning and evening stroll. The prices are more than correct (14 euros in the morning and evening) and the half-board good. Breakfast is buffet style.
